Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Revwyn and your entry into any competition we run. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, entering a competition (by paying or by the free entry route), or otherwise using the platform, you agree to the version of these Terms in force at that time. We record which version you accepted and when.

In plain terms: Revwyn runs prize competitions and free prize draws. Every Competition carries a genuine, no-cost free entry route into the same draw with exactly the same chance of winning — that free route is what keeps every Competition lawful, and paying is only ever a convenience. You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. Every draw is public and independently verifiable. Entering never requires you to consent to marketing.

1. Who we are

Revwyn is operated by Revwyn Ltd ("we", "us", "our", or "Revwyn"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17356739, whose registered office is at Flat 1, 16 Churchgate Street, Soham, Ely, CB7 5DS, England. You can contact us at [email protected].

In these Terms: a "Competition" is a prize competition or free prize draw we publish; an "Entry" is a single numbered ticket in a Competition, whether obtained by paying or by the free entry route; the "Prize" is the item (or its cash alternative) described for that Competition; the "Closing Date" is the date and time entries close; and the "Draw" is the process by which a winning Entry is selected.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years of age or older and resident in the United Kingdom to open an account or enter a Competition.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract and be entering on your own behalf.
• One account per person. You must give accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
• Our staff, contractors, and their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected to the administration of a Competition, may not enter that Competition.
• We may ask you to verify your age and identity at any time, and we verify the identity of winners before any prize is awarded or paid out (see section 15). We may refuse, withdraw, or reverse an Entry, or withhold a Prize, if you do not meet these eligibility requirements.

3. What Revwyn is — and what it is not

Revwyn operates prize competitions and free prize draws that are designed to fall outside the licensing requirements of the Gambling Act 2005. Under section 14 of that Act, an arrangement is an unlawful lottery only where entrants must pay, a prize is allocated, and the winner is determined wholly by chance. Every Competition we run must defeat that test by at least one lawful route:

• a genuine, no-cost free entry route into the same Draw with an equal chance of winning, so no payment is required to participate (section 14(6) and Schedule 2); and/or
• a genuine skill, knowledge or judgement question that must be answered correctly on every paid Entry, so the outcome is not determined wholly by chance (section 14(5)).

Which route applies to you. Every Competition currently open on Revwyn relies on the free entry route, and no Competition requires a skill question. If we ever run one that does, that will be stated plainly on the Competition page before you enter, and the free entry route will still be available on the same terms. The route that applies to a Competition is always published with that Competition — you never have to read these Terms to find out.

Revwyn is not a lottery, betting, or gambling service, and we do not hold a Gambling Commission operating licence because our Competitions are structured to sit outside that regime.

4. How to enter — paid entry

For a paid Entry:

1. Choose your Competition and the number of Entries (single or a bundle) up to the published per-person limit.
2. If — and only if — that Competition states that a skill question applies, answer it correctly. Where one applies it is a non-trivial skill, knowledge or judgement question drawn from a difficulty-justified question bank; an incorrect answer means that paid Entry cannot proceed (you are not charged for a Competition Entry you did not qualify for), you get one binding attempt per Competition, and there is no "second chance". No Competition currently open on Revwyn uses a skill question, so in practice this step does not apply to you today.
3. Pay the published Entry price. Your Entry is confirmed and your numbered ticket(s) allocated once payment is confirmed.

Paying is never the only way in — the free entry route in section 5 is open on every Competition, at the same odds. Where a skill question does apply, you are responsible for your own answer; do not share answers, and do not use bots, scripts, or automated means to enter.

5. How to enter — the free entry route

You can enter any Competition completely free of charge, with exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entrant. Free entries go into the same Draw and the same ticket pool — the Draw does not distinguish between paid and free Entries in any way, and paying gives no advantage whatsoever.

To enter free, complete the free-entry form shown on the Competition page. It is displayed alongside the paid option, at equal prominence — never hidden in these Terms — and it requires no payment (and no skill question, where one would otherwise apply), so it is at least as quick and convenient as paying. It costs nothing beyond your standard internet or data charges (a normal rate that does not reflect the opportunity to enter), and we never charge you to enter free, to find out whether you have won, or to claim a Prize.

This free online route is offered on genuinely no-less-convenient terms and published prominently, consistent with Schedule 2, paragraph 8 of the Gambling Act 2005.

6. Entries, prices, bundles and limits

• Each Competition states its Entry price, any bundle prices, the total cap on Entries, and any per-person limit. These are shown as "significant conditions" on the Competition page before you enter.
• Prices are in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes. Multi-Entry bundles are priced as published.
• We allocate numbered tickets on a first-confirmed basis and will never sell more than the published cap. If a Competition sells out, no further Entries are accepted.

7. Closing date, the draw, and our "the draw always goes ahead" promise

Every Competition runs in one of three formats, stated up front:

• Fixed cap / sell-out — a hard limit on Entries; the Draw takes place once it sells out.
• Fixed cap with a guaranteed end date — the Draw takes place on the published date even if the Competition has not sold out; unsold Entries simply improve every entrant's odds.
• Rolling — Entries are sold continuously until a winner is drawn.

We do not cancel, postpone, or reduce the value of a Draw because of low ticket sales. Once a Competition is published with a Closing Date, that Draw goes ahead and the advertised Prize (or its cash alternative) is awarded. This reflects the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators.

8. How the winner is chosen

Winners are selected by a verifiable, provably-fair random process, consistent with rule 8.24 of the UK CAP Code. Before entries close we publish a commitment to the method; the winning Entry is then derived from a public, independent randomness source (a commit-and-reveal scheme combined with the drand public randomness beacon) applied to the committed set of eligible Entries. After the Draw we publish the inputs and a standalone open-source verifier so that anyone can independently recompute the winning Entry and confirm it was not chosen by us. We are structurally unable to influence which Entry wins.

9. Telling the winner

We contact the winner using the account details on record, normally within 7 days of the Draw, and we make more than one reasonable attempt to reach them. If we cannot reach a winner, or a winner does not respond or complete the required verification, within 14 days, we may (acting reasonably and in line with these Terms) draw an alternative winner or deal with the Prize as the Terms allow. It is your responsibility to keep your contact details current.

10. Publishing winners

To show that a genuine, fair award took place, we publish limited details of winners — ordinarily the winner's surname and county (and, where relevant, the winning Entry) — on our results archive, as CAP rule 8.28 requires. If you would prefer us to publish less, or to provide details only to the Advertising Standards Authority on request, tell us before the Draw and we will accommodate a reasonable request. Winners may be asked (but are not required) to take part in reasonable post-win publicity.

11. Prizes, the cash alternative, and substitution

• Each Competition describes the Prize and, where offered, a cash alternative you may choose instead. The cash alternative amount is stated on the Competition page.
• We award the Prize as described or, where necessary, a substitute of equal or greater value (CAP rule 8.15.1). We will not provide a Prize of lower value because of low ticket sales.
• Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged except for any stated cash alternative.

12. Delivering the prize

• We arrange delivery of a physical Prize (such as a vehicle) within Great Britain at no cost to the winner, or arrange collection, within a reasonable period after verification. Overseas delivery or non-standard collection costs are the winner's responsibility.
• The winner is responsible for insurance, road tax, running costs, and any personal tax arising once the Prize is transferred to them. A UK car Prize and any cash alternative are awarded free of entry cost to the winner.
• We provide free storage of a physical Prize for 30 days after we are ready to hand it over; reasonable storage charges may apply after that.

13. Instant wins (where offered)

Some Competitions may include instant-win prizes tied to specific Entries. Where they do: the outcome of each Entry is pre-determined at the moment of Entry by the same fair allocation, and any "reveal" animation is for presentation only and does not affect the result. Instant-win Entries remain part of the same lawful-route framework (the free entry route, and any skill question that Competition states, still apply). We do not accept credit-card payment for instant-win Entries.

14. Refunds and cancellation

• Because an Entry is a chance to win a specific, time-limited Draw, Entries are generally non-refundable once allocated, except as set out here or as required by law.
• If we cancel a Competition before its Draw (for example, for a technical or legal reason), we will refund your Entry payments to your original payment method, or credit your Revwyn account, at your choice.
• If an Entry is found to be invalid or ineligible, we may void it and refund the corresponding payment.

15. Verifying winners (identity, age and anti-money-laundering)

Before we award or pay out a Prize (including any cash alternative) or process a withdrawal, we verify the recipient's identity and age and carry out anti-money-laundering, sanctions and related checks as required by law. No person under 18 may win, be paid, or withdraw. We may withhold a Prize or payment until these checks are satisfactorily completed, and we may refuse to award a Prize where they are not.

16. Responsible play

Revwyn is for entertainment and must stay fun. In line with the DCMS Voluntary Code:

• You must be 18+ and we verify age.
• You can set your own spending and entry limits in your account, and we apply an overall limit of £500 per calendar month per person.
• We do not accept credit-card payments over £250 per calendar month per person, and we do not accept credit-card payments for instant-win Entries.
• You can take a cool-off period or self-exclude at any time from your account, and we monitor for signs of harm and will act proportionately.
• If gambling-style spending is affecting you or someone you know, free, confidential support is available at BeGambleAware.org.

17. Payments and chargebacks

• Payments are handled by our regulated payment providers; we do not store your full card details.
• Do not raise a chargeback or payment dispute for a valid Entry. If you have a problem, contact us first (section 22). Charging back a valid, completed Entry is a breach of these Terms; we may charge a reasonable administration fee, void affected Entries, and suspend or close your account.

18. Your account and acceptable use

• Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Use Revwyn lawfully and personally. Do not attempt to manipulate a Competition or Draw, use bots or automation, create multiple or fake accounts, share skill-question answers where one applies, or interfere with the platform.
• We may suspend or close an account, and void related Entries, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or fraud or abuse has occurred.

19. Our responsibility to you

• Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
• Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, that arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control, or that arise from your breach of these Terms; and our total liability in connection with any Competition will not exceed the value of the Prize for that Competition.

20. Your data

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, the lawful bases we rely on, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights. By using Revwyn you acknowledge that Privacy Policy.

21. Marketing is always separate

We will only send you marketing by email or SMS if you have separately and specifically opted in — it is never a condition of entering a Competition, and you can withdraw your consent at any time from your account or via the unsubscribe link in any message, with no effect on your Entries.

22. Complaints and dispute resolution

We would rather fix a problem than argue about one. If something has gone wrong, tell us and we will look into it properly.

How to complain. Email [email protected] with the word "Complaint" in the subject line. To help us resolve it quickly, please include: the name or number of the Competition involved, your account email address, any relevant Entry or order reference, what happened, and what you would like us to do about it.

What happens next.

1. We acknowledge every complaint within 3 working days, confirming who is handling it.
2. We aim to give you a full written response within 14 days. If we need longer — for example because we have to review draw records or wait on a payment provider — we will tell you why and give you a revised date.
3. We will give you our final response no later than 8 weeks after you first complained.
4. Our final response will explain our decision, the reasons for it, and anything we are offering to put it right.

If you are still not satisfied. Revwyn Ltd is not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme, and we do not agree to use ADR. This does not take away any of your legal rights. You remain free to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, and you can get free, independent advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk, consumer helpline 0808 223 1133).

Draw results. Every Draw is independently verifiable from published information — the committed seed hash, the external randomness beacon round, the entrant Merkle root, and the open-source verifier. If your complaint is that a Draw was not fair, please use the verifier first and tell us what you found; we investigate any mismatch as a priority.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other consumer protection law.

23. Changes to these Terms

We keep these Terms under a clear version number and effective date, and we keep an immutable record of which version applied to each Entry. We will only change them where we reasonably need to, and any Competition you have already entered continues to be governed by the version you accepted when you entered it. The current version always applies to new Entries.

24. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

25. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. Events outside our reasonable control (force majeure) may excuse or delay our performance. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours where your rights are not adversely affected. These Terms, together with the significant conditions shown for each Competition and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the Competitions.
